BattleField 2 released...

I picked this up the other day... Good fun, not really any different to the demo other than the fact that the demo map is more of the more average ones available in the game. Mind you there are only 12 maps, but like the demo then can be played at different scales. Three different scales to be precise...

I have got to say that if you max out the graphics options this game really does look the business, especially when you consider the scale of the larger maps...

The only downer at the moment in the TK punishment system. If you TK someone (you shoot them, or they walk over a mine you laid, or are killed by a bomb you drop or are run over by you vehicle, or are in a vehicle that crashes into you and blows up, or friendlies run into your "clearly marked on the minimap" artillery strike, etc...) you get a -2 grief score, the person killed get the option to punish you, if they take this up your grief score goes up to -4. A lot of the servers have their kill limit set at -10 to -20 mean an accidental crash in a helicopter while carrying passengers could get you kicked from the server...

Other than that, great fun to be had...

The game rock. Personnaly there's no going back to DCF or DCX. The level of teamplay you can achieve in these game is awesome. True there's only 12 maps, but the BF2 modding tool is about to come out. When the good mods like RisingConflict will be out, this game will be THE game.

this game rocks in its vanilla state, which is nice to see. the great part is, the maps are so detailed, and with the scale of the teamwork involved its always something new. The game is such a blast, i enjoy the whole squad teamwork aspect of it, had some Black Hawk Down moments and other unreal stuff. Though to enjoy it best u need a good squad with coms

this game kickes Ass! i havent stopped playing it for 2 days! as people have said the team work is great, but being able to fly jets is even better although it is next to impossible without a joystick.

heh it does rock, i play as Flip83, and ull most likely be on the recieveing end of my TV missles! im the king of helicopter gunnery, with a kill:death ratio of about 4:1, though lately ive been scoring more like 10:1

the trick with the tv missle - go for enemy transport choppers ;)

I've played BF42 and its mods(CD, DCX, FH, and the rest..) for more than 2 years, and since BF2 is out, i didnt play BF42 once. BF2 is brilliant !
