Favorite Soldier and Favorite Line Up

This question goes for everybody. Who's your favorite soldier (Ninja, Shinobi, Emissary, etc. not included) what's your favorite team line up (Ninja, Shinobi, Emissary, etc. not included.) A team line up example would be: Heavy Cavalary-4, Naginata-4, Musketeer-4, Samurai Archer-4 if ya didn't get it.

If I'm attacking, 4 archers, 4 warrior monks, 2 no daichi, 2 yari cavalry, 2 heavy cavalry, and 2 naningata.

To defend, 8 archers, 4 muskets, 2 naningata and 2 warrior monks.

rich men's armies maybe, especially the attacking one

I'm pretty new to the game, I haven't played online yet. For defending I just pick a hill and bunker down like crazy.
And when I'm attacking I still haven't learned how to use my muskets well. They don't get lines of sight very easily.

So far (and I'm not going any further than this post on the subject) I really like the SwordMaster. So for me it's :

1 swordmaster (special)
2 yari spear (honor 2)
2 musket (honor 0)
1 archer (honor 0)
2 warrior monk (honor 1/0)
1 no-dachi (honor 3)
all for about 2k

I personally don't like them; they're expensive (twice the cost of No-Dachi) and suffer against Yari units. When used properly they can be devastating, but proper use is difficult.

Some people pick them for sentimental reasons, especially as the Taisho unit - they believe a general should sit on a horse. Personally, I smile when I see an enemy with a Heavy Cav Taisho.

think about it ...

ur troops r struggling in battle, the enemy is gaining the upper hand , but then a massive stampede of horses clatter into the melee deverstating enemy units, it's ur gen!!!!!! hurray!!!!! hes come as last!!!!! one last push our gen CHARGE!!!!!!!!

there easy peasy is u know how 2 use em

btw horses don't like points sticks weilded by farmers who can't afford horses....

My favorite unit is YC just because of their flanking ability and they can kill pesky cav archers.

2. 2 ND (only if attacking)
3. 2 YC
4. 1 CA
5. 3 HC (if enough koku)
6. 2 SA
7. 1 musket (only if feeling lucky that it wont rain)

I don't exactly have a favorite...i mainly like the Yari Samurai. But a monk is a very good thing to use. Archers are my favorite range weapon. And if anyone has battled me in a low koku fight you will find archers and yari...oh yeah i love the graphics goku..

I love HC but unit they are useless against YS and one YS unit can see of 2 or 3 HC so they are useless.

My favs are The monks with ND support

Add a sprinkling of YS and a dash of archers for fodders and you got your army

If I had to say the most versatile unit, it would be Yari Sam's,
A decent Honour Yari Sam can deal with just about anything.

Yeah but if you are playing a high koku game then even high honor yari sam can get eaten alive by WM yet they do awesome against HC. They are about the most al purpose unit you can get though so i use them too.
