Just a "tiny" problem that I have

I am currently in Spain on vacation and I recently(today) bought STW on a store for a very reasonable prize. I really wanted to try it becasue honestly I never have(only MTW and RTW), but then when I got it back I realized that the entire game was in spanish, the text and the voices, everything, and I DO NOT UNDERSTAND SPANISH AT ALL!
So, I am wondering if someone who has the original STW(not WE or MI) could send me all the english text files as well as the voice files so that I can play in a manner that I understand.

Well I have the original, but sadly I got only WE installed atm. Ofcourse if noone turns out to be of any help, I can re-install it and send you the files (due to connection limitations little by little that is I presume:)).
If that won't work, then it's a great opportunity to learn the wonderful -and easy- spanish language;). I use the japanese voices anyway, for more effective immersion heh

How do you turn on those?
Oh and I also need the intro and outro movies sent to me, and their english subtitles.

Well, as you 'd suspect, it's in the options menu, probably "opciones" for you;)

More specific:

As you have problems with spanish, I'll tell you which lines you should click. I'll make an example:

................MAIN MENU...................

'line 1': Play game

'line 2': Load game

'line 3':options

'line 4': quit

.......................................................

See? ~:)

In the Shogun menu it's 6 lines right? Take the 5th line in the main menu. Then take the 2nd line. Then you are in the sound menu. At the bottom of the page, there is text like this:

..........language.........
English Japanese

it's in spanish for you of course. But the positions will be the same. Click at the 'Japanese' word. It'll become red. Then this shall work. ~:)

OKay, I managed to change the game's spanish text into english(all of the games languages are included, but just the texts, I just discovered this), but I still need the intro and outro movies, as well as the audio files, actually only the english tutorial files, because I can have everything else in japanese, but I would prefer to have all the english files.
Anyway, that Tiger_Tamerlane guy doesen' seem to be responding so, Li'Impressario you said that you could do it if noone else replied, so could you send me these files?

Yes the japanese talk setting succeded, everything is japanese with english subtitles, except the tutorial and the intro movie and the outro movie as well I guess, which are still spanish but atleast now they have english

Well, I need the english outro and intro movies as well as all the english voice files.

hmmm the movies IIRC are over 60MB. I think this could take an enormous time to email (with ym connection that is. Maybe I could pass them over a program like ICQ?
The voices one is easier due to numerous smaller files. Anyway, need to clear some space first on HD first - can't even install STW atm:P

Movies are about 15MB each and there are 8 outro and 1 intro, plus a bunch of event anim (5MB each).

Sound files are small but there are many: battle speeches, advisors speeches, messengers, ...

L'Impresario, if you don't want to reinstall the game , let me know. I still have the original game with the latest patch. Edit: all movies are on disc 1 and all anim are on disc 2. But, you will need to reinstall the game to get other sound files. Unless you know which .cab file they are in and how to extract them.


Randarkmaan, does your email have the restriction on the size of attachment you can receive?

I'm a little lazy with uploading things to my little web space.

It's not that I got any problem to re-install STW, the real problem is the data size, which I'll be hard pressed to send over (plus I don't think I'll have the time to send all the files in less than 1 week).
So, it would really be good for all if you helped.

I will start uploading all of the movies.

For the sound files: i will zip the whole folder then upload it. The largest folder will be about 18MB.

I will post a link when files are ready for DL.

Randarkmaan, what type of connection do you have? the intro and outro movies are quite large, even after zipped it (still 40+ MB). If you have slower connection, I can try to split them with Win RAR.

I uploaded most of the files already. It takes a little long to upload large files.

Sorry for not answering for a while, it's no longer a problem I forgot my cd-key in spain and have bought myself Warlord Edition here, so now I can play it with enlish movies and all that.
