Well the topic is all about the appearances of the so-called great commanders or soldiers of all time. For example, did the Genghis Khan's appearance terrify people? Or did Caesar have a well-built and good-looking appearance that you could tell that he was a Roman general ?

Anybody knows ?

from what I've read and heard genghis khan was a little over weight, but I'm sure he terrified people cause everyone knew how ruthless he was, ceasar was probably skinny....they eat a lot of grapes lol

Bayezid was a ugly man... He inspired fear even to his closest friends because of his cruelty and ruthlessness

Brian Boru, the first recorded high king of Ireland, was said to be a giant among men.

Saul, the first king of the Jews, was noted to be a head taller than other men.

Selim I, nicknamed the Grim by the Europeans and Yavuz, the Brave, by the Turks, conqueror of the Mamluks and defeater of the first Safavid Shah, Isma'il of Persia, was noted to look all the lion he was rumored to be. But he could be just as cruel as he could be brave ~;)

Well German generals usually didnt pose with their shirts off, but here are some body shots.

Manstein with Hitler - greatest military mind of the 20th century.

Guderian - master of the blitz.

Rommel - the desert fox.

Out of all of them I would say Rommel was the most charismatic in the way he dressed and acted.
