Which Clan is hardest to complete game with??

Just wondering which is the hardest clan to complete 'Shogun' with??

I've only tried Shimazu and Hojo so far, since they are at either end of Japan it seems like they must be the easiest http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/confused.gif

Oh! and how much harder would you say the AI is on expert. Impossible to beat, nowhere near expert or in between.
I'd just like to hear some opinions from all the seasoned Taisho out there http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

I've always thought Imagawa on expert to be the toughest. If you go christian it's a real b!+

I'm playing Hojo on expert right now,no monks,no-dachi,naginata,or cavalry.I've made it to 1556 and eliminated Uesugi,taking his lands.Oda was killed off by Mori and I think I see a Mori horde problem,with monks,on the horizon! http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/eek.gif
Draksen put up this idea,using just yari and footarchers in a campaign,thought I would try it out.In a regular expert campaign I would also cast my vote for Imagawa.

Are they working to improve the AI in the add-on???

Believe me I don't have the expert AI under my thumb!I just thought it would be fun to try handicaping my army.I haven't gotten to the end of this campaign yet and Mori has warrior monks to contend with.I'll let you know how it pans out.

Imagawa on expert is the hardest to clan to play with. Divided lands and a lame clan bonus. Ninjas are worhtless and only good for protecting your Daimyo and generals from the AI ninjas.

Imagawa on Expert. Though the highest difficulty I've ever played that clan is on Hard.

Let me add my voice to the many other Taisho in saying that Imagawa on expert is the hardest. I can barely capture a province before my land is over run.

When you are playing them on expert and so on do you allow yourself reloads when assinations, rebellions or harvests go against you? I just completed Takeda on Hard without any of the above and dread trying to do it on expert now...

Mori is pretty hard, what with no decent money-making provinces. Then trying to fight on 2, maybe 3 fronts, and having one of them the Horde isn't too easy, nor is it overly fun.

Yes, I agree with Heims. Mori is a hard one. With low income and border Shimazu, Takeda and Oda. It's hard to win with them. I've beat the game on hard level with Takeda, Shimazu, Hojo, Uesugi and imagawa, but never with Mori. I haven't tried Oda on hard level yet.

Yeah but mori can easily take over the whole penisula and they get cheap WM which is pretty awesome. I found the Mori clan the easiest to play with. Just you need to start taking provinces quickly in the game so you can get a higher koku income so you can acctually start mass producing those WM which can be pretty wicked and effective throughout the game.
