Why was I able to make warrior monks after I went Christian? That dosent make historical sense. I mean, is that supposed to happen?

Since this is not a tech problem, I'll move this into the general discussions forum.

I think either this is just a bug of the game or you have a religious tolerant daimyo. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

To take a different angle on this, I've often built Buddhist temples in newly occupied lands that belonged to a Christian Daimyo. Aside from gaurding it against a zealot revolt (which happened on a few occasions I moved my army too soon) I haven't noticed the Christian population percentages drop, which I expected would happen with my new Temple.
Bummer.

Not only that...but if you've built the Cathedral then revert back to buddhism you'll still receive church tithes http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/confused.gif

apparently converting to christianity AFTER you've built temples allows monks.
You see the christians were so nice they left the temples standing...

Strange how you can build monk units when chrsitian percentage is 100%?
Must be some sort of
'underground buddhist resistance movement'

and as The Black Ship points out reverting to buddhist after you build cathedral is a nice way to earn some extra koku...

yeah it is just because if you made a buddhist temple then went christian you can only make the WM where those buddhist temples were and no where else.
