Hola :)

From those who have not played Shogun or Medieval Total War (or Rome) in multiplayer, this message will not have much sense as my or my clan's names won't be recognised. But for all of you, regardless of that:

I haven't been around in TW scene, not even celtis, since half a year ago, for personal reasons (and even w/o them, Rome is a game I wouldn't play with much pleasure).

However, in the many fond memories I have of the long time we shared, I still remember how many of the friends in this multiplayer Community showed concerns and shared wishes when the terrorist attacks striked Madrid so hard past years M-11.

This time, the shameful action was aimed at London. I, and many in the Clan Celtíberos that asked me to translate this, want to show our condolences and a big hug for all of you that live in UK, or have relatives or friends there, and we hope you and yours were not hurted in the explossions.

Also, once more, thanks, a lot, for all the moments we enjoyed together in the past years.

*bows*

My deepest sympathy for those affected by these cowardly attacks, and my support to all who must try to continue to live their lives in freedom, without fear.

A terrible tragedy, and a disgusting exhibition of mindless hatred. My thoughts are with any English members on the board...

I can't imagine there are many people who aren't thinking about our British friends right now.

(Condolences are obviously welcome here, but please keep other aspects of this discussion in the Backroom. Thanks.)

I remember a lot of things from the wild swirl in my memories that is September 11th. You have to understand, my father was in the Pentagon that day, and a friend of mine that I played high school football with died in the North Tower. I watched people jump out of a window from 900 feet up, thinking that had to be a better option than what was waiting for them. My thought process wasn't what it should have been. But two things stood out. The first was Prime Minister Ariel Sharon declaring a day of mourning and tearing his clothes. The second was Prime Minister Tony Blair announcing to the world that they had attacked civilization, and he and the UK would answer along with the rest of civilization.

I never forgot that. It made the fear and the anger more tolerable. I don't think there's anything I can say at this point that will make anybody feel any better, or more secure. But! I can say this. We know who our friends are, and there is nothing we won't do for you. We shed tears with you, we stand with you, and in tribute to the proud display you put on today, we raise our glasses to you. ~

Should it need to be said, anything you might require is of course yours for the asking.

I just got word that my co-manager's wife's brother was one of those injured in the bombing. Apparently it messed him up pretty bad (I'm not sure of what) but I've granted him and his wife passage to the UK and I am going to foot the bill, including Air Fair, Hotel Costs, and any extra expenditures. I am deeply disgusted and angered by this terrible act. Whatever may come in the future that is required for me to abandon my post in the defense of humanity and common sense, I will be there at the first call.

Alioven, though I am new to the MP community, I know about Clan Celtiberos. ~:) However I couldn't enter their site and thought it didn't exist anymore. Now I suddely hear they do? Great! ~:)

There is a new fakeserver running 24-7 now and shogun has quite some players again. Please say that to your clanm8's. Ask them to visit us at the .org and look in the shogun forums for info. (if there are some of them intrested it STW MP)

 I'll try your website again.

As a Londoner, I would like to thank you all for your words of support. Although I wasn't near any of the blasts, it is still nice to have support from people all over the world during these events.

My thoughts go out particularly to those now with the agonising wait for some news of loved one's and family.

I have recently been navel gazing becasue of a split with my girlfriend even though we are friends. Imagine suddenly losing someone and never being able to speak to them again. It truly puts things in perspective.........

All my hopes and fears are with you.

My condolences to anyone affected by the blasts, and a word of congratulations to the authorities and people of London for doing such a grand job of getting things back in order and taking such a pragmatic view of the events.
