When I model a new unit I always start from something existing from vanilla rtw. I wonder how I can change what skin I see in 3d max - not the original one, but my own.

will be easier to see what they'll look like in the game...

1. Press m to bring up the material editor
2. Click on the top left texture sphere (the one that has texture on)
3. Click on the maps rollout and click on "diffuse map"
4. This should bring you to another window with a little box in the middle that has a filepath written on it
5. Click on the box and choose your texture
