Old post:
I've been working on a new version of the Several Turns a year script which allows more than one winter a year without aging.

I don't have Rome on me, and I'm leaving for a week later today. I wan't to release it before I go, so I need some urgent testing done.

Could you please test the script, the script generator can be found here:
http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/Rtw_Uploads/RTWupload/scriptgenerator.zip

OK so its not got the easy interface but I'm sure you can manage

Things to check for:

Characters should not age between winter turns, but should age by one year when the season changes from winter to summer.

Thanks.

Is this script autostarting for games or u need to load it someway befoure it ? becouse that second option is annoying....Also I have generated the script but now where i place it ? In the campaign folder?

I tried this with the TFT mod starting in -58. The characters were aging properly, but the game switches back to Summer during the AI portion of the first Winter turn - that's kind of weird.

It says the script is saved to C: but I can't find it. Where is it being saved to for you guys?

problem is , can we use the , once present , discrimination of time sets of the CA , and so give different albeoes and lightnings to the battlefields according to each different season? as well as correcting the climate occurencies according to the season? We can see that CA placed 4 seasons once and some remainings of code is still there , can this be recovered and implemented?

Why not wait until the Xpack as I believe it will have 4 turn years?

Hey LT! Do you have any sort of link confirming this? Great news if so...

Interesting, using similar method as you (before seeing your solution), I made one year per turn script, with all sezons using summer.

Because I'm thinking of something along the lines of 5 or 7 turns a year Lt

OK so I'm back, and if I understand right, the main problem is that the season changes back to summer at the end of winter turns (exept the last winter turn). I'll check it out. Thx guys.

Saxit, I'll add some installation instructions when I get it working properly.

Stuie I read it somewhere on the official forums, But I would have to search for the link, They mentioned something about the 4 turns, I can only think they saw how stupid it is to have 2 turns. lol

Myrddraal ever work on a script to get the triumphs working? 5-7 turns, why not go for 12? lol

Will this work in MTW 2

Eh? Why do you need it in MTW2? I thought it gives you ability to define the number of turns per year via some other means...
