I can't find nowhere.....

Many injuries, few people drowned, villages completely wiped.....
Man, it's horrible....

BTW, we're Orthodox, so we have the same God if you're Anglican....

My hope are with you guys - we had quite a terrible flood in the Eastern part of Germany 3 years ago. The effect can truly be devastating, even if most people escape alive and without injuries, they often lose everything else...

I trust that the rest of us in Europe will help where we can if things get bad.

If there's any relief hotlines for people needing canned food & blankets be sure to post them. My prayers are with you guys, and hopefully, there's no loss of life.

Appeal launched after devastating floods hit Romania

THE New Hope Trust has launched an urgent appeal for aid following devastating floods in parts of Romania.

Some 5,146 homes have been flooded, with 750 of those completely destroyed. A total of 2,786 people have been evacuated from the area, while 1,043 people are isolated and cut-off as a result of the flooding. More than 133 villages have been flooded in the Timis region of Romania alone.

The floods are expected to take up to a month to fully subside, and it is thought thousands of people have lost everything they own, though many of theses people did not own much to begin with.

The New Hope Trust is now appealing for clothing, tinned, dried and packet foods, blankets, bedding, curtains, etc, to aid these people.

Those who can help should call 0845 230 4673 for information

and to arrange for the trust tocollect the items they wish to donate.

Cheque donations and credit card donations will be accepted by calling the telephone number or by going to www.newhopetrust.org and clicking on "make a donation".

My sympathies if you want them. Hopefully the waters will down down soon. A few years ago, Vegas suffered from a monumental downpour after a long drought. The soil and drainage systems couldn't handle it. Floods were everwhere. A mobile home park was destroyed. Even now, when it rains, streets in the newer areas are often flooded, or even washed out. Nothing compared to this however.

Is anybody going to remember to get Count Dracula's coffin out of his castle before he floats away? He might be pretty peeved when he wakes up this evening if he finds himself washed out to sea. ~D

Sorry, just trying to bring a little smile in what is most definitely not a funny situation. As I said, you're in my prayers.

My sympathies to all those affected. Let's just hope that the waters will die down soon, and that casualties can be kept at a minimum.

Thanks all of you....

Fortunately, in Bucharest, we're not drowning.... Regions like Alba in the west are completely flooded....

BTW, LMAO and ROFL, Don Corleone.....
