hi! sorry if something similar has been posted before....
i am playin the brutii campaign for the first time and i got the order to capture larissa in greece. now there is one turn left to take the city, and actually it would be a very cool timing because the nearest macedonian army that could be a thread is not near enough to reach me this turn if only there wasnt this damn disease in the city. what should i do now? take it or leave it?
things are not going too well over there in greece so i need the city and i need it now because of the senate and because of the good timing.
by the way, my competent leader is in that army too.
thank you :-)

if you take it and build sewers and other health-improving buildings - that's probably your best bet if you both want the city and want as few soldiers to die as possible.
If you want complete saftey vacate your general and take the city with the rest of the troops.
Most likely you'll be safe but if the city has an infected spy your general will be infected. If you know for sure there are no spies, your general will be safe but you will have to remove him before you hit end turn. Or take the city and leave him there until the plague dies but your firts priority should be to build a health building.

i am concerning more about the generals and my leader than the soldiers
when they become infected i will be not able to move them around anymore?!

The solution to your troubles is to divide your General from the rest of the army stack, so when you hit the end turn button then only the army stack will enter the town and not your General. This way your army will get affected and not your General. Your army will louse some members but when plague passes the army will be healed to. On the other hand if your General get affected, he will probably die. So simple. ~

You can move them around after but they will be infecting other settlements and stuff. It seems to take 5-10 turns for plague to go away if you have all the sewers and stuff built. Use another family member for the time being. You should be fighting with more than one general so you have a few good generals to lead armies.

Don't let the general enter the city. He will most likely die. Family members are very, very susceptible to plague. Put him into a separate stack before the city falls (together will all the troops beyond what you would garrison there anyway). They can continue on, and the garrison can stay quarantined ~:handball: in the infected city.
