Can rebels have diplomats? I know I'v enever seen one of my men get bribed by rebels. Sometimes I almost find myself wishing my generals weren't so darned loyal. I'd love the occasional civil war. I don't suppose this can be properly represented, though, other than by awkward things such as the three Roman factions...? Slave rebellions tend to be a joke (the ones I've seen at least). No-earth shaking stuff that threatens to topple the empire. Anyone wish rebellions were riskier (or, perhaps, have seen a genuinely powerful rebellion that somehow I missed?)

Would be a nice touch, would add an extra element of danger.
Id like it.

I have seen rebel diplomats, and had my cities bribed by them before in other mods.

Heh, actually I'm not sure if I can say. It is a beta, not available for general release yet.

I'm pretty sure Mundus Magna v2 allows rebel diplomats.

*gasp* Goddix has spoken! All prostrate youselves before the God of Bartix!

XD I just love doing that. Melodrama is my thing, man.

But, anyway. Gods can still make mistakes, Abokasix...not true that AI faction doesn't train diplomats... I've seen Germania chockfull of Britannic diplomats, and the Seleucids are even capable of bribing other factions' diplomats! In my Macedonian campaign a Seleucid diplomat I found in Armenia was named Skunxa, just so you know...

pezhetairoi, I believe you misheard with your mortal ears and misread with your mortal eyes. Obviously The God of Smilies would not make a mistake such as that. In this quote from Deutoronomix, 42nd Sirahix, you'll see what I mean:

i dont think ANY faction under A.I dosent train diplomats.

The AI (even rebels) trains diplomats.

The double negatives from the ancient times cause this confusion.

The "slave" faction is strange. I believe it will only recruit units from its capital -- at least that's my experience. I admit that I've never really tried to convince it to do otherwise, though.

If it gets a diplomat (and it sometimes does, through whatever means), it depends on how much money the faction has. If the mod has the slave faction starting with a lot of money it'll quickly spend it bribing whatever cities happen to be adjacent to the slave capital.

Found a rebel diplomat while playing today, but it wasnt trained. The family of a faction was killed and so its provinces turned rebel as did their diplomats.
