Hi.

I've heard about the unofficial version 1.6 and i wanted to hear more about the benefits and/or disadvantages of this version.And also if it is to become official. Should i use this version and why or why not should/shouldn't use it?

I never heard of this. If there was an unofficial patch it would be v1.3 because that's where the official patches left off. There is an unofficial patch called Bug-fixer though. It fixes a lot of the bugs by editing files and adding new scripts.

The last official patch is 1.2 - install it and then upgrade with bug-fixer.

You are surely referring to player1's Bug-fixer (the unofficial patch) in its latest incarnation 1.6. You can take a look here (see below for link) and judge for yourself from the readme. In my opinion, its the best damn patching effort by a member of this community and one that is ongoing.

No it will never become official.
Exempt if CA adopts some changes (which I hope they will someday).

Ok guys sorry for my incompetence about this bug fixer version which i thought was similar to the 1.2 patch apart from for some bug fixes and the fact that it wasn't official.
i will check this bug fixer version out and then ill come back with a new thread asking for your personal opinions.
