Good. What fun is it posting mindless crap when there is nobody to redicule it.

The backroom does seem to have shifted to the right in his absence.

I don't think he's back. He fully learned a lesson I've been trying to master for ages, which is to avoid this place completely.

So then, welcome back, Silver!

Edit: Prolly spoke to soon. Wb, A2. What's your favorite cheese, atm?

Wb, A2. What's your favorite cheese, atm?My own! I've settled down on a little farm in the Auvergne for the rest of my life. I grow my own vegetables and marijuana, herd some sheep and goats during the day and contemplate the moon in its cloudless sky from a nearby hilltop at night.. ehh.. excuse me while I throw up...

OK, so I'm back to work as usual, hard drinking, hard smoking and hopefully packing some punches. Taxi! Jezus, it's been a while. Good to see so many people still hate my guts.

I had to look after the Monastery sticky first, hence my delay in answering your query, my lady. I have found, though, that there is life outside the .org. It moves, it breathes, it thinks and acts, and it tends toward socialism. But that is for later.

Good to be back. Don't know for how long, but then I'm not the only one here.

Has Dev Dave been fired yet?

Come on - you missed the verbal clobbering in the Backroom, admit it ~D

Actually I am not really back - the staff there is just kind enough to provide me with an internet access. They believe it's necessary for the therapy.

BTW, the pattern on the wallpaper here is kind of soothing - only nurse Helga is somewhat scary...

It's all for your own good. God forbid you end up like your predecessor. I found a picture of him in his final days as a moderator..

I actually started a 'Where is Adrian when you need/ him' thread, but I forget what it was about.Story of my life, Don!

Thanks for the interest shown, everybody. So many .org members are lining up to hang and quarter me, it brings tears to my eyes!

Not much has changed, but then I haven't been away for so long. The indefatigable Kukrikhan is, as ever, working the most dangerous of .org trenches. Templar Knight is making himself useless as always, I see the good Mormon still prowls this board at night, and Gawain looks as bad-tempered as any man after a New York pizza dinner.

I must admit I worry about Proletariat a bit. First it turned out she was into Chopin, now she's waxing emotional over cheeses. She wouldn't be slowly developing into a fifth column for France, that cradle of western civilization and leading light of mankind, would she?

Oh, good... ~

PS I know Chopin was Polish by birth, but he settled in France in more than one way..

Tea?Why thank you, Master Beirut? I hope I haven't missed any particular bits of feminine scrumptiousness during my absence - I do count on you to, ehm, fill me in, old chap!

i was gone for about an hour.. but i'm back now! commence celebrations. :brood:That seems to be the way it works, dear brother Biggus Johannes. You stay away for a couple months and because people don't see your posts every day they gradually forget what a jerk you really are. Upon you return, they seem to remember you used to somehow play a role in their lives, and so they react vaguely sympathetic to your return.

Friends - who needs stinking friends when I have individuals like you around.

~D ~

However it will be good to get into discussions with you - my thinking abilities have not been challenged lately - and I have had to resort to working on my sarcasm writing skills by partaking in conservations with Tribesman.

It will be fun once again to :duel: with someone who thinks beyond their own narrow existance.

i agree.
i liked the more intense conversations between adrian II, redleg, pindar and others.

lately there hasnt been as much debate or intelligent arguement.

that is really why i come here, to look at new ways of thinking about things that i dont hear all over the news and from people around me.
