I remember DJ once find a way to allow army to cross water regions, but I can't find the topic about it, neither in SJ submod forum or in the Scriptorium.

Could anyone explain me how to do that ? Does this trick allows both fleets and armies to cross the water ?

I've seen narrow areas of water (sea) able to be crossed by units; and yes, the ships treat it as normal sea.

I've not worked out why it occurs - and would also be interested in this thread to which you refer.

You have to modify the campaign map. Remember the land links in STW and MTW. Well RTW can use them. You'll have to ask someone that knows about campaign maps though

I don't have the time to explain this in detail.

From left to right:
map_heights.tga
map_groundtypes.tga
map_regions.tga
In the map_heights.tga and map_groundtypes.tga leave out one 1 square between landmasses. It's like making a 45 degree diagonal line and then to delete one pixel in that line. NOTE: the landbridge can be no greater than 1 pixel. The connection must be made in map_regions.tga.
I don't remember wether ships can pass the landbridge.

I would appreciate it if you would return the favour by writing a more detailed guide and put it in Myddraal's guide.

How did you not have the land extended into the water there, which the 1.2 patch bugged? Just curious.

Wow, excellent, I didn't know this was possible! I'll be working on this for sure.

What about roads? do roads cross the water?

I don't remember clearly, this has been quite some months ago. I believe roads did not cross them, but there were sometimes a few ugly borders (the coloured double lines).
