Where does the senate gets its cash from?
I am playing the SPQR mod and have wiped out the brutii, and the scipii only have capua left. I have blockaded Romes port and blocked the roads between Rome and capua, and alos the road heading north. BUt they are still churning out Pretorians as fast as i can kill them. Does any know how I can starve the senate without blockading Rome and having my armies mauled by their all pretorian armies, becuase i am struggling to deal with them atm. I have fought 3 battles with them and won 1 and i'd call 1 a draw. 2 of the battles were traditional style full stack battles. I lost 1 (with an experience army of armoured hopolites, cretian archers etc) and I won 1 (with an army of raw recruits, mainly standard hoplites) but only with massive casualties. I also drew (well technically lost) a battle with a..... unusual army. 20 units of militia cavalry :charge: . Javelins seem to be a little over powered and this allowed me to defeat a julii army and then take on a senate army. I just ran them all forward, and as they ran out of javelins I ordered each unit to route.
So I retreated (they won), BUT i kill 377 pretorians and they killed 72 militia (so that feels like a victory).
But if they produce troops at their current rate I am never going to be able to take Rome, so i need to cut the cash flow. :help:
