Funny I hate oreos to the point I wont eat them yet I love Hydrox and cant get enough of them. Dunking them in milk is my favorite.

You also left out the option of taking them apart and licking off the icing then eating the cookie part. ~D

i don't like oreos (or anything like them) either. but if i was forced to eat some, milk would be my choice too.

I went with milk.

When I was little at playgroup (nursery type thing) we used to get biscuits and strawberry milk, ah the memories: sandpits, painting, climbing frames...

I've never had an Oreo in my life, so I had no choice but to vote 'Gah!'.

Marcellus! You have not lived! Okay, that is it. From now on, we need to export Oreos to increase the love for American throughout the world.

Mmm...well, so much for any other cogent thoughts I had. Time to find me some Oreos!

(And I voted milk)

what in the world is a Tim-Tam?

A sort of biscuit? A quick look on Google Images clears things up:

Gah! Thanks Pape...and I had almost forgotten the edible ecstasy that is Tim Tams...

I would like to see them on the shelves here though. Still, for something I can eat a lot of and not know I'm wasting lots of money, I like my Oreos.

Tim Tams are fancier (and the price reflects that).

Nothing like a Hazelnut Tim Tam and Bailey's on the rocks before bed though.

Oreos are delicious, but apparently they are also deadly, something about transfatty acids or some other form of chemical death that tastes great

hence, Gah!

I eat them alone.

I get three to five cookies (double stuffed kind), I eat one piece of the chocolate cookie off of the first one, and then both of of the next few, and stack them all up to get a REALLY thick frosting section, then I eat the whole thing at once. ~

What is an "oreo".

I can tell it is American by its stupid name.

The spellchecker even says it is not a word.

bah!

Nothing can defeat the mighty Kit-Kat and the not quite so mighty custard Cream...

and then there is the god of all biscuits......

The chocolate digestive!

All are good with after noon tea, but IMO, none should be dunked.

I once had the luck to find Oreo's over here in Britain, and by god they were tasty!! Nothing better than an Orea by itself. I personally prefer the method of biting off the top biscuit and licking the frosting, then eating the second biscuit. And for the uninformed, this is an Oreo:

Bloody delicious!!

arrrg your all sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo unfortunate, Tim Tams are by far the greatest biscuit in the world, and Arnotts are the best biscuit company, I can think of about half thier range that beat oreos hands down. Oreos are peices of poo with some cream in the middle, Tim Tams, Monte Carlos, Ice Vo Vo, Crowns, Montes, Shortbread Creams, Kingstons, the lot are all waaaaaay better than a boring oreo

Arnotts FOREVER (at least till it was bought out by the US, but sucks to the US seeing as u dont get the good stuff over there)

check out some of the best buiscuits in the world

As I said these were much better

http://www.adclassix.com/images/61hydrox.jpg

Hydrox Cookies Sunshine Biscuits invented the chocolate sandwich cookie in 1908 and owned the market for a whole four years before the better-named, better-distributed, and better-marketed Oreo debuted and Nabisco made Hydrox an also-ran. Keebler bought Sunshine in 1996, but in 2001 it gave up on its attempt to revive Hydrox's heyday.

So oreos are a ripoff. Damn I didnt know they stopped making Hydrox. No wonder I cant find them any more. The original was far better. Any of you ever have a hydrox?

I think you maybe right but that no one noticed it until the 70s. I guess you could call it truth in advertising. Dosent the name hydrox have something to do with the use of hydrogynated fats being used in the creamy center and isnt that the big stink with Oreos now? No one though anything about that when I was a kid. Hydrox was just the name of my favorite cookie.

Marcellus! You have not lived! Okay, that is it. From now on, we need to export Oreos to increase the love for American throughout the world.

Actually, you can get Oreos in this country if you look really hard. I haven't seen one on the shelves for years, mind.

where is the poll???

As you are a junior member, you can't view or vote in polls. I don't know why, but they're the rules.

usually i hate sweets but i love oreos.
i don't really eat them with milk so much as eating milk with oreos.
usually i drop 20 oreos into a glass of milk then like them soak until they become little chocolatey sponges then eat the entire thing with a fork. ~D

we get them in australia, the just dont do so well here, mainly due to the fact we have better options. I stack shelves in a supermarket in my spare time, and on all the little tags for the items it actually has number codes for how many units sell and such, and let me tell you, oreo does EXTREEMLY POOR, we probably fill the Oreos about once every month (yes one box serves a whole suburb for a month), and tim tams we sell about 4 boxes a week of the plain 200g packets.

I know this stuff because biscuits is what i stock ;) the people in australia vote with thier mouths, and thier feet, and what i see is the tim tams outsell every other biscuit

Fox's Cruncg Creams kick Oreos in the the head. Although, I do buy them whenever I see them, mainly for the novelty factor-I can hardly ever find them in this country.
