VANYA!! MAGYAR!! ANYONE!! HELP!!

Attention all programmer people--

In the MTW Demo all of the unit info seems to be contained in this file- crusaders_unit_prod11.txt

There are absolutely jizz-in-pants powers contained in this file, and probably also in the building editing file.. the only problem is that it is a sadistically jumbled and incoherent mess.. I mean, it is THEORETICALLY interpretable with a simple text edit, but it is quite jumbled. I know Magyar made a Troopstats editor for STW, but unfortunately it was totally unnecessary (in my mind) as TroopStats.txt and Projectiles.txt really modded themselves. But there appears to be a very serious need here, guys, so if anyone wants to take a crack at it, please do.

It's not a mess, just rename the file with xls extension and open with Excel.

Well, then I guess it's off to pirate a copy of Excel. All I've got is Lotus 1-2-3, and that just makes it worse..

And Vanya, the MTW demo is available for download from a variety of sources at this point. But if you're still suffering on with a 56k I guess you have an excuse http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif

try office 2000. iirc the spreadsheet in there is excel also.
