I just got my new computer. It is very nice but that is not the point of my post. I have about 5 hours from now until my RTW game is unistaled from this computer for good. This means that if I would screw it up with anything now, it wouldn't really matter.

So basicaly, is there anything that anyone wants me to try just to see if it works? Just give me some instructions and I can mod it however and tell you if it works or not.

Try to find if there is really Jesus in the game.
There was such a thread here.

Around Judea, a General is said to pop up called Jesus and you can't kill him and all his units regenerate each turn.

That would be quite funny.

Anyways, does anyone know which file has the stats for the attack, deffence, attack properties and so forth?

See if it really is impossible to win the game as the Senate. See what happens when you give Carthage five armies of Armoured Elephants. See what happens when Egypt starts off with only peasant armies and towns with 400 population. Play all the Eastern/Civilized factions, seeing if you can move them to Ireland, then play the Barbarian Factions and see if you can move them to Turkey. Recreate the Pheonician Empire with Britannia. Make a perfect copy of the Roman Empire, but with Carthage instead. Recreate the exploits of Hannibal, and cross the alps with Elephants. Mod the game so you start with 20 peasant armies which have gold armour and weapons and chevrons. See if you can fill up all the seas with ships. Try and play the game with 4 armies, continually moving around the map, conquering cities, exterminating them, then moving on to the next target.

The possibilities are endless. Just use your imagination.

they all sound like fun things to do, I'll try the recreation of the Roman Empire, as the Parthians though ;)

Mikeus, hate to tell ya, but... there was no Phoenician Empire :)

Wasn't Carthage Phoenecian?

If you search for em, there's a Jesus General thread a few pages back.

Oh, that's the Carthaginian Empire. It's not Phoenician per se, because Sidon/Tyre/Byblos etc never set up their own regime. Carthage was different enough to be counted separately.

Or maybe powerful enough. Anyways... not wanting to get into semantics. I'd maybe class the Phoenecians as having more of a trading empire. But lets not split hairs, I quite liked some of Mikeus' ideas.

I'm not arguing with that, I liked his ideas too... just that, studying to be a historian now I'm a little nitpicky on accuracy wherever possible :)

Well, there are the Judean Zealots, complete with Judean Popular Front and People´s Front of Judea ~;)

That file you´re looking for would be the export_units in the data folder, I believe.

Just remember to download the patch. Otherwise your comp will lag like hell whenever you use any form of flaming missiles.

I recall a mention, at about 14 A.D. of the Governor of Judea going mad and having all male children slain. Let us consider that is slow moving news of the 4 B.C. birth of Jesus.

Usually the game is over before that point comes up on screen.

I have not had it play out long enough to see mention of the crucifixion, but if 18 years is the time about the Governor of Judea, then we should see such a notice appear at about 51 A.D.

It would be neat to see that but I didn't write the game, and I do not have the right to impose it even if I knew how.

Thank you for the file Cicran.

I decided to modify Archer Auxilia to make them super-units. First, I left everything the same but added the bonuses of armor piercing missiles, body peircing missiles, area effect, and launching.

I tried them out and it was incredible. I shot my flaming arrows from one unit of my archers at an urban cohort unit. When the arrows hit, it looked like the Forth of July. It literaly looked like fireworks going off. Sparks were flying everywhere. One volly took the Urban Cohort down from 41 to 19 men. (I was playing on normal size, grassy flatland, calm day)

But that wasn't enough, they were still terrible at melee combat and for some reason, they did no damage to elephants. So I went back to the file and edited up their arrow damage to 50 and their morale to 9 (it was 4 before I changed it). I also gave them 5 hit points.

I then put 8 units of my archers against 10 units of Spartan Hoplites. I fired one volley of flaming arrows from every one of my archers at one unit of spartans. They all died. I then charged them with my little swords. Even with five hp, my archers lost in melee. But barely.

I went back to the file and gave them 50 attack for their secondary weapon along with 9 hp and 40 defense. I put one of my archer units against four units of Urban Cohorts. I fired one volley then charged. My archers went through them like a hot knife through butter. I killed the remaining Urbans with my secondary weapon and didn't even lose a singe man.

A few notes:

-like I said before, they do *nothing* to elephants. Eventualy the eles rout but they do not take any casualties.
-The arrows don't seem to be as effective against horses (possibly just because they are spread out more)

I just remembered that I didn't change the charge bonus or test them against elephants or cavalry after I upgraded their attack. I will go do that...

Haha, hello ceasar44, you're wrong, I'm not from EB... I'm just a die-hard fan. And indeed they have noticed the impossibility of this. Carthage, in the latest maps, is no longer called Tsorim, but Kart-Hadashtim. So yes, my point does hold water :)
