List of Heros

Anyone know where I can get a list of the heros in the game and what year they come. I`ve seen guys like William Wallace and Guy Gisborne, Salidin, etc, but I would like to find a list of all the guys who we see in the game. Can anyone help me out?

I know of two good ones:
1) Ky Kiske's Heroes 201 is the best: it features all the heroes of the VI early, high and late campaigns, their year of appearance, their job and their stats. Unfortunately, it does not include the heroes of the Viking Invasion Campaign. You can find it in this thread: MTW:VI Heroes List (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=30538)
2) Nefarious heroes listing lacks the heroes stats, but comes instead with a number of historical snippets taken from the game files and it does have the heroes of the VI campaign. The list comes as part of a information pack by Nefarious. It is not available on the internet, but you can mail Nefarious about it. You can find his address in A Beginners Guide to Medieval: Total War (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=31445) by Frogbeastegg, section 1.1: useful resources.

Or you can poke through the game files themselves. They are called DEFAULT_HEROS.TXT and VIKING_HEROS.TXT. A little clumsy to work with, but they have all the info you need. The former also has a few little historical snippets attached to most of the names in case you are interested.

The 1st list appears to be off, the people don`t come in the year he said and they don`t have the same command stats. The names are right, except that he has people listed to come before 1087 when the game begins.

The year may be either year of birth, or first year the hero can appear. Command stats may change because of traits, unit probability, or some other reason.
