:rifle: i got an easy question for all you expert moders:1.how do change the win conditions in RTR from.."hold 50 provinces"..to hold 100 or whatever amount i want. 2.how do i make the marius event happen earlier in the game(like right at the begining). RTR is cool and everything but i just want a longer game to enjoy...and the cool looking post-marius legionares. of coarse these question have to do with the Total Realism mod. Thanks for any help

About the victory conditions I´m afraid I can´t help, about the post-Marius units, I´d sugest to take a look in the unit modding sub-forum of the scriptorium, I believe there´s some topic dealing with how to make units available. In the essence, it would require deleting the requires_marius-reform line from the building conditions, but I´m not sure right now where those are listed. I´m afraid, however, thee´s no other way than that to speed the marius reform, as it´s hard-coded to require at least 100 turns and an imperial palace in one Italian province.

1) Victory conditions are hard-coded.

2) If you'd bothered to look slightly down the page at the thread called Marius reforms then you'd have found a link to a thread with everything known about modding the Marian reforms at present.

3) If you're asking a question about RTR, have you considered asking it on their own forums?

4) I have edited your thread name to something that gives an indication of the nature of your modding questions, you will find that it makes it far more likely that you get the help you need.

The file Ciaran's referring to is called export_descr_buildings. You'll find it in your Data folder. Have a look through there at every troop type which includes the line and (or and not) marian_reforms.

Remove the troop types that you don't want velites, hastati etc. and remove the "and marian_reforms" conditional from the post-Marian troops you do want. This will allow you to recruit them at the beginning of the game.

Actually, I think the Marius reform does not even take place in that particular mod. Thanks anyways.
