How do you Change Sides in Demo Mods?

I've tried out a few mods, and have only been able to play as one side... yet i've heard of people playing the other side as well... how do you play the other side?

I think you have to beat it before you can play the other side (?).

you have to modify the .adf or .bdf files or both...i forget, but yes, it is posted elsewhere in this forum.
