Hi guys

This is my first post to the forum, so be nice ~:)

OK, I'm playing my second ever campaign, but my first with a Catholic nation. I have churchs and castles built in two of my provinces, but I can not then see chapterhouses available to be built.

I'm playing the Danes in Early Era, using v1.0.

Am I reading the tech tree correctly? Do I need to build something else first?

I'd really like to go crusading....

I don't think the Danes can build crusades. Not all the Catholic faction can crusade, I plays as Poland and can not.

The Danes, Poles, and Huns don't Crusade, IIRC.

Yup, that's right. Those 3 are the only Catholic factions that can't crusade (4 if you include the Papacy); the other 7 Catholic powers can crusade.


Not that you really had to guess, though, ichi. Over-modesty doesn't become you. ~:cool:

@ Martok: Without meaning to sound like a sycophant, I have noticed that Ichi is as humble as he is wise.

@ Orbost: You need to buy Viking Invasion, dude!! I was playing 1.0 until a month ago. The expansion is totally worth it.

Try the "All Can Crusade" mod that is at the signature of someones post that posts here all the time. I am playing the Danes and I am building my first chapter house now.

Well I bought 1.0 for 10 aussie dollars so I'm getting plenty of value even with the basic game! I'll look at for VI but haven't seen it in the shops, except in a boxed set that costs like 50 bucks or something.

On a separate note, I guess I should be downloading the patch for v1.1? Although why they didn't include the patched version when they released the game on budget I do not know.

No crusades for the Danes? Shame....I'll continue my current gentle trading, opportunistic expansion strategy then.

Look on eBay for VI - if you love MTW enough to be posting here, its worth another 20 for it. But I doubt you will have to pay for that.

yes, it fixes bugs and resolves some issues.

Yes, that is true. Better a firm yet humble moderator like him than.....hmm, I honestly can't think of an overbearing moderator at the Org. (Okay, now how's *that* for sucking up? ~D )
