i´m not a member of any political organizations....i have my own ideas and don´t think i need an organization to frame them.

P.S.-just a quick question...i was under the impression that the .org domain of web adresses was reserved for organizations related to the american government...like the whitehouse, nasa and so forth.
pray do tell why the hell is the NRA website is a .org domain???

You'd never get anywhere with your 'unique' ideas in a place like America. The whole idea of 'special interest groups' that get derided so much is that instead of giving your $25 donation to your senator and getting $25 worth of listening time (about 352 micro-seconds, depending upon the constituency), you pool your resources with like minded individuals.

To that end, I donate to the NRA, the Heritage Foundation and ONE (1% of national budget to end hunger & poverty, I think it's called MakePovertyHistory in Europe).

I´m currently a member in MUF: "Moderata Ungdomsförbundet". It´s rather hard to explane what it means in english :embarassed: Its the second largest political association in Sweden and stand for capitalism, low taxes, tougher penalties for criminals and so on... Will leave it next year I think, to join another organisation: SDU (Swedish-Democrats Party).

I am also a member of Green Flag. Can anyone guess what this organisation is all about?

Red Harvest

I used to be an NRA member. I agree with them on gun rights for the most part. Unfortunately they became so extreme and shrill politically, far beyond gun regs that I found I didn't support the folks they supported anymore. I dropped membership in the mid '90's when they turned into simply an organ of the far Right.

Is there a variant of the NRA for those with more moderate political views but who still feel strongly about self defense and firearms rights?

I don't know if you're being cheeky, and pointing out that I spelled his name wrong (it's Jon Stewart) or you really don't know. Assuming the latter:

Jon Stewart is the host of the Daily Show on Comedy Central (http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_daily_show/videos/headlines/index.jhtml)
He does a spoof broadcast of the news every night. Sadly, he's scooped 'authentic' news sources on several occassions.

Green Flag?? You rebel, don't let the members of the AA hear that

I'm not a member of anything, unless you count Blockbusters and the library, but I'm thinking of joing the PQZ and XAK.
