Does the pause button work properly now? Or is it still "sticky" and undersized/difficult to hit on the first try during the standard clickfest battles.

hmmm......i too had that problem in RTW. Very annoying. i think i'll install the demo to see if it is in BI.

No, the speed control buttons were bugged. you would often have to pause to switch them.


BI seems better though....

Try out RTR 6.0. Movement rate is about the same as MTW and is a lot more fun that BI demo ~:)

I had the pause button problem all the time in RTW, and it does not appear to have been resolved in BI.

What seems to happen (in RTW) is that something is bottlenecking. The pause/resume doesn't seem to get full priority to interrupt the bottleneck (or there is too much display lag in the game at times.)

It must be deep enough in the engine that there is no easy fix.

I still experience a desperate Ctrl+T, Ctrl+T, Ctrl+T, Ctrl+T typing, hoping to get back to normal speed. Not always, but as you say when there is alot going on.

Players wouldn't have this problem if they just stopped using the "pause" and "triple speed" cheats. ~:)
