If you had control, where would you do for your country in terms of policy in the short (1 year), medium (5-10 years) and long (20 year) horizon.
Secondly what values would you like to see develop out of said policies.

I would do a 1 year term.
I would
1 Legalize full auto fire arms (it is legal now but way to hard to get) repeal the 1934 and 1986 gun bans.
2 Out law gay marriage give them the tax benefits of marriage but dont let them adopt children.
3 Make people on welfare do community service.
4 Tighten the borders.
5 start a malitia for each country controlled by that county not the state government or federal government.
6 leave the UN and kick them out of New York.
7 Put more focus on training the iraqi military so we can leave sooner.
8 Give more power to counties then states or the federal government.
9 take steps to get rid of junk law suits
10 lower the age to join the military to 17 and let any one older then that in (if you are 65 and can handle the training more power to ya!)

At this point I would say my views align most closely with those presented by the Project for a New American Century.

Over 5-10 years controlling Britain i would...
-Outlaw R&B/House and hip-hop music
-The Death penalty is to be re-introduced (That'll learn ya to not murder someone)
-Parets are allowed to smack there kids (more bloody discipline to those spoiled Brats)
-Restore the Army/navy and air force to its WW2 size (it's appaling how much were taking away)
-Invade france (no offence but we aint had a war against each other in ages guys)
-Restore the British Empire
-Destroy the Sun and all other Tabloid newsapers (then the celebs can live more freeley)
-lower the drinking age to 16 (ave more awareness about the effects of Alchohol on the body)
and have a no-speed limit policy outside of the towns and villages (as in the Isle of Man)
A mix of short term and long term changes:
The election process (oh, where to begin :dizzy2: ). From a party standpoint, I would eliminate the extended primary season that a) drags on, b) is unnecessary with the modern telecom we have today, and c) gives an unfair advantage to the winners of the first few (no offense to our NH or Iowa residents ~;) ) small states that in the real election have little effect. All primaries/caucases are to be held within a couple of weeks.
For the real election, the following changes would be implemented:
No results for national races would be made public until the polls close in Hawaii. The prevents reporters from skewing the vote in the western states.
Either the presidential election is by popular vote, or electoral votes awarded by congressional district, with the popular vote winner in the state getting the 2 senate seat votes. This means that every vote is more important, and candidates can't just ignore states they have no chance in winning overall.
Freedom of the press - still allowed, but press companies must be registered as non-profit corporations. This would cause some initial pain, but would remove a lot of the money drive that is slanting or dumbing down the news.
Income earned from teaching in public schools is exempt from federal taxes. A nice little "raise" for some of our most important civil servants, at no cost to the local districts.
People are people, corporations are not. Remove the personal "rights" that companies are claiming.
Increase funding for alternative energy. This is not a "green" issue, this is a national security issue.
Start up the ethics committees in Congress. They have been silent too long.
Oh yeah, and take the bar lists from every state, and use to decimate the lawyer population. ~D

Sweeping policy on illegal immigration: Internal enforcement with heavy fines on businesses. Destroy the demand and the supply will fall as a result. Lettuce and Strawberries will rise to $10.00 a pound and medical care will drop to the lowest levels in history. Education will actually be globally competitive again. Secure the borders from infiltration in tandem. Implimentation: Immediately. Funding: Debt, repaid exclusively with fines.
Meanwhile, begin tranformation of "war on drugs". Begin legalization and normalization of Marijuana, while eliminating all concepts of "gateway drugs". Heavy emphasis on drug educational program developemnt.
Begin huge program of government funding for alternative energy sources to reduce foriegn dependance on oil.
Continue in Iraq as is.
By YEAR FIVE.
Illegal immigration is reduced, sizing up changes in economy as a result. Continue education in drugs as before.
Iraq: permanent base.
Invade North Korea. Begin new occupation.
Flying cars and alternative energy solutions in full swing. Transition to private funding.
YEAR TEN
Elimination of Africa. Sink the entire continent. Create the best dive spot ever.
YEAR 20
World peace. Divinus Arma crowned as eternal savior of human liberty.

Who cares, so long as they don't all pile into my country. Granted I would do the same thing in their shoes, but enough is enough.
I would do a 1 year term.

This is very intresting.In my country,people who are unimployed and are living on a wellfare can be forced to community work.They get their wellfare check,but have to work where they are appointed. :bow:

My plans would be such:
-Make the monarch the supreme leader with me as Chief Minister; Parliament would be reduced to a purely consultative role.
-All Hereditary Peers will be allowed to take their seat in the House of Lords. Furthermore, one must be of sufficient breeding to become a knight or lord. No more pop stars and sports people being ennobled or knighted.
-Introduce conscription and community service for everyone between the age of 18 and 40 with the possibility of entering the Military Academy if having been to university.
-Former polytechnics will be once again called polytechnics, not universities.
- Get rid of comprehensive schools and bring back Grammar and Secondary Moderns. People leaving the former would go to University, people leaving the latter would take up apprenticeships.
-Abolish Death Duties.
-Legalize Fox Hunting.
- Re-assert the crowns claims over the Crown of France and the lands of Normandy, Anjou, Maine, Aquitaine, Guyenne and Calais.
-Outlaw chemical, biological and nuclear weapons for ALL nations. Conventional war simply isn't possible with these weapons.

No i said Parents CAN beat their kids, get some discipline in my generation!
Start digging into the oil-fund and buy land. The kingdom of Norway would invest in property. The US bought Alaska; we would start buying up tropical islands and possible parts of Africa. Our investments would be thoroughly accomplished and our new land would reflect the standard found in the mother nation; benefits with all.
1. Abolish the royal tradition and bring back Elections for the kings of Swede as it was form the beginning. Everyone can run even the current king.
2. No death penalty, instead rapists, murderers and other mentaly sick people are to be forced into slave-labour for around around 10 years.
3. Only those whom are registred hunters by profession shall have guns.
4. Get out of the EU
5. work for a united Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Greenland).
6. Form a Scandinavian Defence Force.
7. Taxecuts for those who own small companies.
8. make it harder for people to stay home from work becouse of sickness, check up 1 once a week at different doctors.
9. New national anthem and new flag for scandinavia.
10. Law forbidding Scandinavian military to operate outside of Scandinavia unless under UN command.
11. Work harder to improve the socialism in Scandinavia.
12. More money to students.

Good list Lazul. :bow: I only disagree with you on 2 and 3.Personally i would put Murderers on a forced labour for rest of their lives.I know im cruel,but thats just me. :evilgrin: I also wouldnt ban weapons from ordinary citizens because they are all registered already. :bow:

only they have use for a tool made to end other living beings life. Non-professional hunters have no reason to use guns. If people have to hurt each other they should do it like men, use their fists heh.

What do you mean mate?You can have a gun in scandinavia.You only need a permit to get it and then you are registered as gun owner.I dont know what Lazul is saying about professional hunters,we certainly in Finland dont have a much of those at all.
Short term.
-Turf the position of governor general, use budget to fly in the queen or one of her progeny to do the job when it's needed.
medium term
-rebuild our military have, 15000 troops tainred specifically to be peace keepers to the UN. Make the regualr army 1 corps of about 100000 men and the same again as reserves. Build the navy into 2 carrier battle groups 1 for each coast. Enlarge the air force as nessiary to meet the requirements of the army and navy.
-create heriditary nobility to sit in the senate. The nobles will have to buy their titles. The seats in the senate will be elected for 12 year terms.
-get rid of the territories by eliminating the population requirments for being a province.
-Sepreate Labrador from Newfoundland, and redraw the boundries of the north west province and Nunavut.
Long term
-Annex Cuba and Belize

well if your gun isnt made to take life, why the hell do you have one!? And yes all a gun can do i kill, to me, using a gun only to shoot for pratice on a range for fun is just and extension of your "member".
Isnt it wonderfully weird how we are the only race (humans) on earth who actually wage wars!? How 'god' damn suicidal are we to become!?

-Re-instate the death penalty for traitors. Rapists, murderers, child molesters and drug dealers are to be put in work camps where they lives will be beaten out of them. In the end they will welcome death.
-Take the Suez Canal, Calcutta, Madras and Bombay and keep them as trading stations.
-If Spain does not renounce the claim to Gibraltar, then by God we'll have a war! The British cititzens of Gibraltar will not have their lives dictated to by a bunch of politicians in Madrid. If it comes to war, then we shall recapture Minorca.

Not if the Imperialist club has anything to do with it. You can annex Cuba if you wish, but Her Brittanic Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is Queen Regnat of Belize and we shall not allow it to be mistreated!

I go to competitions twice a month I do idpa shoots...and bowling pin shoots. And I just shoot targets for fun....and some of the guns i use for that are those "evil assault rifles".
Most of the people that hate guns have never even shot one.

If you are smart enough to follow the four NRA rules of safety there is NO possible way any one can die.
And if its war you are talking about....wtf taking my gun away is not going to take away the military's guns.
