Meh. I know they were having trouble, and that MagyarKhan (Khan of the Wolves) was no longer going to pay for the domain name (which he gave fair notice of, about 4 months ago). Maybe nobody took up the burden?

Or else it is just down temporarily.

Anyways, it was all but dead, with only a handful of members posting in it. That's what happens when you fail to get new blood, and scare off those that do come. Not to mention the time it takes to open a page.

AFAIK someone did take over so I think this is just temporarily.

Says: The old .NET forums are down because the new owners of .NET decided it needed a change to become more active and the #1 stop for TW gamers. So it doesnt appear to be dead but just being restructured

Well good!

Maybe I’ll be able to post there again.

Have tried every thing imaginable over the past three months, but it always comes up with an error. I am able to register and post on every other message board in the entire community, except the Net.

Odd you think?

sad but true. Maybe it'll get better under new management.

Would bringing .net back be a good idea??

Why? You miss a warzone?

No, but if with planning, it could change and not be a WarZone.

I think Clancommunityshield is the top MP site these days. There are too few active MP'ers to have several MP sites up and running IMO.

Mabye some of the older players would return to .net if it would be changed in a way that it won't be a warzone, then I think we might have a slight increase in MP players then. (CCS moderator told me ithat CCS is turning into a warzone itself)

A good part of them (if not a majority) has retired from Total War MP.

Im sorry to hear about CCS but strong moderating should be able to fix the problem. That of course will eventually mean the worst offenders gets permanently banned so whole clans could be without a presence on a site that also is a tournament site.

But if one wants a forum without all the smack/trash-talk then a heavy stick is needed.

Yea, I think that's a ploblem with CCS. If you ban a toublemaker, one clan might thank you, but the clan that the toublemaker is it, if they don't disciple him, they would defend him and walk out.

I think for .net, There just has to be strict rules on what goes on, and No Warzone period.

Just my friendly 2 cents  .
