Okay, I know Monk say three -- but forgive me, please, if I ask for four. I feel that one of the most important areas of writing and one of the most overlooked, both among those who write for fun and those -- including those I work with, men and women who are professional writers -- is editing and rewriting.

This thread is reserved for editing tips, grammer discussions, and the gentle art of cutting away the best of what you've written so that what's left can be even better.

* * *

Just a quick moment to explain how these threads will work. If you wish to submit an essay on this topic, please send it by private mail to either myself to Monk, who has graciously considered to serve as co-editor with me.

The purpose of this editing process is twofold: (1) to provide basis editing services to ensure comprehension, etc., and (2) to avoid redundancy wherever possible.

So, PLEASE NOTE: do not post directly to this thread. Instead, submit your essays or suggestions by PM to either myself or Monk.

I would anticipate a two to three day turn around on most essays.
