Roman Legion Fighting tactics

I was reading a Osprey military book on Roman Legions from Caeser to Trajan. Inside, it described a wedge formation for Roman legionaries.

Does this exist and can some formation inside RTW change the legionaries into said formation?

yes, this did exist and is not in the game. it was done by the romans after 1AD so is too late to include.
