I was play BF 1942 in MP and we were about to finish off the axis. they still had one town and they kept running us over with cars as we crossed the bridge so i went anti tank and got my bazooka out to destroy the car that was headed at me.


I hit it but the car was moving so fast that when it was hit, it flew into the air and landed on me :embarassed:

I was playing MoH on MP with Friendly Fire and I jumped into a bunker with a bunch of team mates, and I saw an enemy jump into another bunker so I threw a grenade at him, the grenade hit the bunker, bounced off of it and fell into our bunker killing me and seven other players.

I was playing BF2 and I was flying a helicopter it went out of control(because i sucked at flying then) and i died with 2 ither passengers.

My controller cord was stretched to reach where I was sitting while I was playing FF7.

My idiot cat leaped onto it, yanked the PS1 out of the wall and cost me a good 12 hours of progress. This was about 10 years ago, and to be honest... I'm still a little upset.

sometimes when playing a heated multiplayer match of Emperor: Battle for Dune (the 3D version of Dune 2), i'd accidentally sell all of my spice refineries in the heat of a hectic moment. thus bringing all of my income to an absolute halt. that made for some very tense gameplay and incredible come-from-behind victories on my part. lol :charge:

That would be the time I was playing MTW and couldn't work out why my income was going up by only 1 florin a year despite having a huge empire ~:confused:

1 day and 1 post in the main hall later I figured out I was looking at the year counter :dizzy2:

Boy, did I feel stupid after that one :embarassed: I mean, I'd only had the game over a year... :embarassed:

Little RTW battle. I was Julii against the Brutii, both armies equally trained with mine half as small as the enemy. Good general though. Anyway, I played a careful battle, drawing the enemies to my centre with hired Illyrian skirmishers, slowly drawing the flanks in more and more, meanwhile peppering the rear ranks with arrow fire. Eventually I managed to flank the enemy and they routed. My general went running off after the fleeing enemies, only to be cut down by his own archers because they were still firing. Scratch one good general...

Grenade tossing is always good for a few stories. I can't tell you how often my grenades hit my own guys in Day of Defeat.

Playing Tribes 2, about a year ago. There was a sniper in some hills, and i'd managed to get my mortar precisely targeted to get a direct hit. But what happens? I fire, and when the mortar is halfway through it's journey to it's target, a Gunship loaded with about 6 people flies right under where it's falling. I could only watch in horror as the two objects collided. BOOM! Bodies everywhere...there was one survivor though, and he got picked off by the sniper who i had been shooting at originally.

I have a similar problem on almost any multiplayer FPS, my arguement is that I'm colourblind and honestly can't tell the difference between my team and the enemy. I've got better on CS since I realised the radar on CS:S only shows your team. Problem is that the time it takes to notice there's somebody ahead, look up see if he's a team-mate or not confirm he's an enemy and fire is so long I'm usually dead before I've had time to click :(

Second that. Except I was playing America's Army and it hit a car and bounced back into my squad's little tea party that they were having behind the car.

Another stupid thing I did was on the first day I got a PlayStation, playing Gran Turismo:

I bought a car and used up basically all of my money, then I did some races, started winning some, getting some more money. Then I went to a garage and offered to sell my car (no idea why.. i wasn't sure what would happen).

They took it and I wasn't given the oppurtunity to say no. I ended up with no car, and not enough money to buy another car...

Being about 7 or 8 at the time, I was pretty upset and accused the game of stealing from me :embarassed: .

Na thats the AI faults....my most stupid was on HALO combat evolved on the web: i was in a warthog with 2 other people in and the rest of are team behind me in other warthogs then a enemy warthog came i drove back to the base but what happend? everyone else was behind so i ended up be flipped up and over as they went forward and all the sudden i fell off the cliff..... :dizzy2: :dizzy2: :dizzy2: .....and died.

i'd always blow up my own teammates in America's Army. practically every single time i fired an RPG, i'd lose at least 60 honor points ~D

i eventually concluded that me using grenades in that game is counter-productive ~:cool:

Yeah, every time i throw a frag on AA, it seems to hit a team mate. I frag as little as possible now. They aren't worth the trouble. Especially if you get caught with your pants down (not literally). I mean if you are about to throw a frag and then an enemy comes bursting round the corner and shoots you in the head.
