Unable to access romeshell?

I need help, I've tried tilde (~) key but it does not work to access the console. I know where the key ~ is and how it works on my PC but unable to access the console at all. Tried other keys as well (F2,\,/,T,^)
I have a fresh install of RTW 1.2

PLEASE ANYONE HELP!!!

Sorry if this was put in the wrong forum. Nobody could find me an answer.
However, I did this on my own and worked:

If anyone is faced with this problem this is what you do:
1)uninstall all keyboard drivers
2) shut down Pc then unplug the keyboard
3) Plug keyboard again, start Pc and now enjoy the greatest game of the year!!!

I don't know how to help you, but if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything. I know it seems an elementary thought, but it is a good little code to live by. I may not like that he put it in the wrong forum, but I just don't say anything instead of flaming him.

It works for your..."nice" rating ~;)
