I was the one who posted the long Customer Support information with Activision and after their last reply, they sent me this.

Hello,

Unfortunately we no longer have a relationship with the developer of this game. Creative Assembly was purchased by Sega a few months ago. It would be unlikely that there would be a patch released by us. This is most likely a problem with the Nvidia drivers. Nvidia would have to fix any problems they introduced into the game. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us.
First, why the hell didn't they just tell me this to begin with?

Second, when the hell did this happen?

and Third, why the hell didn't they just tell me this to begin with?

Thought you all would like to know, thats all. I reposted this under the Activision post.

1. Oversight, they're paid to do the job, but they don't really care about the games. Hell, at Microsoft, I got free techsupport that should have cost $10/hour because the techsupport lady assumed I was under warrenty.
2. June I think.
3. Activision sucks.

SEGA released Spartan Total Warrior right after the purchase of CA, and the BI add-on for RTW is due out next month along with a patch for RTW to maintain compatibility with BI and pickup any enhancements to the gameplay. SEGA seems to be doing fine.

Very soon after the release of the VI v2.01 patch CA did announce that the game had been end-of-lifed. There won't be anymore patches to MTW/VI.

SEGA got out of the gaming platform market but are still one of the top gamemakers in the industry. After the whole dreamcast thing went up in flames the decided they were just going to focus on making quality titles for the other platforms. If I remember correctly the purchase of CA is thier first foray into the PC market.

Sega always had better system than the nintendo equivelent and the only handheld that was competative with the Gameboy until PSP. They just couldn't coordinate with game makers for those platforms and nearly everything Saturn bombed except for the sonic games.

Sega has been behind the (apparently very popular) Shenmue series, amongst other things.
