Can someone confirm if this a CA bug?
I've tested the centurion fighting in RTW 1.2, RTR & My own mods and i get the smae result everytime. The centurion fights without his sword once battle is joined. ~

That's because the centurion tries to use secondary weapon but he doesn't have any....
the problem lies in the texture or .cas files. I recommend downloading new centurion skins.

You usually have to actually edit the .cas file in a 3d editing program. You can cole the weapon(which saves you from having to remap the texture) and rename the clone to "secondary weapon" all in non-capital letters.

Hmm, so you have to edit the Cas file, to give the centurion a seconary weapon. I've come to the conculsion that this is a game mechanic. A stupid CA game mechanic. But if you say that this can be done by editing the Cas file, how come major mods have not done this? It's certainly an "issue" in RTW 1.2. Did it work prioir to 1.2?
It almost certainly would have existed in the original stock game.
In order to fix it, you will need to make a few simple changes to the model, which wouldn't tkae long to do. I might have a crack at it if I get a few minutes spare next week. Got some time off work, so you never know.
The model can be replaced with a version having an identical secondary weapon, and that won't cause any problems. Or..at least..I can't see why it would!
Are all the Roman 'officers' affected the same waY?

Hey it would be great if you get the time to look into this, and yes it happens to all officers. I did try swapping the the skeleton entry with the legionary skeleton entry but i get the same effect. I understand now that the Cas file must be edited.
Thanks Bwian, i'm really shocked that no one else has attempted to modifiy the Cas by now...
