Adopting new religions

I was reading on this thread about the Julii adopting a new religion, the epona temple. I was wondering if this could be modded to allow the Julii to adopt other religions, after taking a settlement they could upgrade existing temples there? Seems a shame to pull em down, some have good attributes.

Maybe I wasnt clear enough. What Im asking is that can I take over another settlement as the julii and start upgrading their temple? How would I mod this.
