1) What is this thread about?
2) Why is it in the Watchtower?

Well,
The point of this thread is to remark the "intelligence" of some people. I cannot believe "we do not accept "free" addresses because of spam and other fraudulent activities" .
I cannot believe "we do not accept "free" addresses because of spam and other fraudulent activities" .
They want to avoid stunts like BrutalDictatorship tried to pull upon the Org two months ago. It is possible to ban members by their e-mail adres but if they have multiple adresses they can make more accounts and continu spamming/flaming. Few people have more than one non-free email adress though, so the rule you mention will prevent banned spammers/flamers from returning before their ban has been removed.
I'd like to add that I think neither the subject nor the tone of your message are suited to the watchtower.

Someone came on the Org, associated the mods with nazis. The mods swiftly warned him, he refused to repent and caused a lot of problems by spamming and flaming. The mods banned him. He came back as Horsearcher, and then horsearcher2. The mods kept banning him.
I think that's how it went anyway.

I've been thinking that.
Are you talking about RTWHeaven? Or some other site?
I assume he is talking about the Heaven Games websites, RTWHeaven etc.
That's the only website/forums that I know of that don't accept free e-mails.

Ok, so your problem is that you aren't allowed to register because you use an MSN email address? Or Yahoo?

Aye. We're clear now.
Well, my best advice is to get over it. I've never thought it was that good a site. Or get yourself a non-free address.
I gotta say though, that's a weird move. A lot of sensible people will have non-free email addresses and it's harsh to tar all with the same brush.
Before I discovered the .org I was nearly always on RTWHeaven. It was a pretty good site imo but it is nowhere near as active as the likes of the .org

Oh, now I get it.
So RTW Heaven doesn't accept free e-mail addresses eh? Weird policy. That would restrict much participation and may explain why that site is much less active than the .org. I wonder how did Khelvan posted EB's previews there back then. Probably he had a non-free address...
Oh well, like it matters anyway.
Edit: Still, why exactly is this thread in the Watchtower? If the original poster wants to raise questions and listen to opinions (okay, rant :P) about this practice (I presume it's not very widespread) in internet forums the Backroom would be a far better place to post.
