I thought that she wanted to meet with him? Guess she chose to use her son's corpes as a political tool. Some mom she is, and not only that, she's desserted her living family. Whats funny is that move-on and other libtards are now realizing that she's just a crack pot and are leaving her (not saying that move-on is sane to begin with)... :furious3:

Of course she is happy because it was never about a meeting with the president. It was about trying to demonize him.
Cindy doesnt really look bad here, she's always been nothing but an idiot. The people who look bad are those who said "We'll shes just a grieving mother, why doesnt Bush just meet with her?" Can you say: Hook, Line and Sinker. ~;)

The thing that interests me is how some anti-war libs are screaming mad against the war on terror (i.e. not only Iraq) when they are going through no hardships. Noone is being drafted, no food is being rationed, yet they still act as though they are terribly offended by the war and undermine our soldiers and their mission. Disgustingly enough, they must yearn for another vietnam.

Hey guys, note that only Convservatives have posted so far... Maybe the best thing we can do is to ignore her and any news about her circus.
Just like how we ignore Pat Robertson.

Okay, I'll take the bait.

I don't see what's wrong with opposing the war(s) even though you are in no danger of being drafted. It demonstrates that even though liberals are not being hurt directly by the ill-advised and ill-planned war in Iraq, they still don't want to see the lives of others thrown away senselessly.
On the other hand, I note that (ironically) most of those who are "screaming mad" in favor of sending U.S. troops off to die in Iraq are also sitting comfortably on their sofas watching the war on Fox News, secure in the knowledge that they themselves are also safe from being drafted and sent off to die.
To those I say: Sign up or shut up.

I was listening to NPR (National Public Radio)
They had Cindy Sheehan on the radio, talking about the war. When the host began talking about the "tough" issues, she was like
"Hello, I can't hear you"
When they spoke to a father of a fallen soldier, he said that she said the same thing when he asked about the "tough" issues.

She was being honest about being happy about it. She accomplished more in her view by not meeting with him than if he had not snubbed her on this. She was trying to make a political statement, and with his help she succeeded.
She's not terribly stable, but I had already figured that out.

And they would also be secure in not hearing much in the way of dissent...
I've watched a bit of Fox again recently and it has really gone downhill as far as objectivity goes. They can't seem to make much distinction between reporting and applying their own spin anymore. They do tend to have a lot of footage though, and that is the reason I'll tune to them at times. I end up tuning them out for actual news though because I tend to get only half the story on a number of issues from them.
I object to Fox's blatant efforts to either engage in hero worship or villify based on political grounds. It bothers me even when I agree with their characterization, because I want my news source to report, rather than judge.

Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I can put a round through a flea's ass at 200 meters. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg, mutt-face, before I push yours in.

Props to the 2 of you for quoting one of my all time favorite movies. What's more, unlike most people quoting Clint, you both got it right (though in Dave's case, not all that tough. ~;) ).
