The point is that in your previous post you list a mixture of religion, ethnic groups and nationality - even if you consider Jews to be an ethnic group, a Jew whose ancestors have lived in Germany for generations is still a German, although he might not be an "ethnic German" (whatever that might be in today's world).

It is very difficult to convert to Judaism, but yes, everybody can.

You can be Jewish in many ways - by religion, heritage and tradition, blood line or any combination. Jewishness and nationality are not mutually exclusive. It's not all that black and white.
