Don't shoot me down for asking. ~D

I have searched these forums and elsewhere for an answer, but I have only found information that applies to hidden resources by province. :help:

I would like to add completely new resources and make models for them visible on the strategy map. Has anyone managed this? Is it impossible due to hardcoding?

I am already 90% certain that I know the answers to these questions, but I would like confirmation since I may be missing something.

Thanks for looking in.

It's not possible.

Only hidden resources.

Thanks Edyz. That's what I suspected. :)

I'm not an expert in that question, but Mundus Magnus mod includes four new visible resources (ivory, fish, horses and salt), with the corresponding symbols.

Have a look at that mod to see the required files.

MM new resources are just some useless vanilla resources edited (dogs, pigs, hides and elephants)

Thanks chaps. Yes, I was aware that some of the vanilla resources are redundant (three are not even displayed) and can be edited.

I was wondering about adding further new ones to the list and it appears certain that this is not possible.

No, no further different types of trade resource can be added. As Meneldil says, Mundus Magnus (and other mods) use the unused vanilla resources of dogs, pigs & hides (Mundus Magnus also replaced elephants with ivory).
