How do I conquer the whole map (every province) and not just the 50 provinces that are default? Please help! :help:
I haven't seen anything recently concerning this but as of a few months ago noone knew how to edit victory conditions, but since a four province map can be won it has to do with hardcoded percentages. There are references to a victory conditions editor somewhere in shortcuts.txt but as of right now there is no way to mod victory conditions to require conquest of the entire map.
Without modding however, you can choose to continue playing after you finish a game or not conquer Rome until you conquer everything else. I personally like option 1 better because Rome gets tedious after awhile, and it makes for a good Northern conquest base, especially for Southern/Eastern Factions.
Correct me someone if I'm wrong.

1) Download the 1.2 patch
2) When shows you the victory video and asks you if you want to keep playing click "Yes"

It's also possible to use a script, but that's tricky and not worthwhile for your purposes. Just do as Richard says.

The problem is that when I install the patch there is a crash to destop all the time (every other year) so I have to play the game without the patch (which works fine), does the message asking if you want to continue come up whitout the patch being installed?

I think without the patch you don't get the option to continue playing,
However the trick IIRC to continue pre-patch was ;
when the vicory message occurs, quiksave, then load the game and you should be able to play till you can qonquer no more,
:balloon2:
I wasn't aware someone had figured out a script for that. In any case, if the 1.2 crashes to desktop you should do the following:
1)
A.Go to properties on your RTW desktop shortcut
B. Change "...RomeTW.exe" to "...RomeTW.exe" -showerr
This will prompt an error when the game crashes.
C.Copy the error and post it here.
2)If you've followed #1 and no error pops up check the following:
A. All your tech specs meet the patch requirements (same as game so this is an unlikely problem)
B. Completetly uninstall, restart, reinstall, then install the patch 1.2.
The patch won't just enable you to play further but enable lots of other interesting features and multiplayer, which now requires 1.2.

I did what you said but i never got a error message, every time when the date is 264 BC there is a crash, which i have to restart my computer to get the computer to work again. I have tried it with the carthage ppl, the egypt ppl and the julii family. I have also unistalled and reinstalled the game 3 times now, same happens every time. I have no mods or anything installed. :help:
