Hi everybody,
after lurking in the shadows and only reading posts for quite some time I ran into a very frustrating problem and hope for the combined wisdom and knowledge of the community...

So, here comes my first post!

I have been playing as Parthians for quite some while successfully fighting Romans in the west and holding my ground against the Egyptians in Susa and I think I might have finally reached the turning point of an everlasting struggle against a dire lack of resources.
Last time I played I decided to save the game when the battle screen of a major attack by the Egyptians appeared as it was rather late. Now after loading the game I can fight the battle, the Egyptians finish their turn and then the game crashes to desktop. It seems that the Scythians (or however they are called in English) start their turn but then the Egyptian symbol reappears, but I am not entirely sure because that is the moment of the CTD. The same happens if I autoresolve or withdraw. It also happens on a second computer to which I copied the savegame file, therefore I do not think it is a problem of my hard- or software. And no, there is no other file I could use to restart the game a bit earlier, I only had one file (rather stupid as I know realize) and the autosave is from exactly the same moment. It is rather frustrating as I have wasted many nights enjoying before the computer to get this far. :-(

I couldn't find this problem in the forums but I assume I am not the first to run into it - are there any solutions? As I am new here I cannot upload to savegame file if anyone feels like giving it a go but there is always email if anyone is interested (I hope you are!).

Thanks for any advice and help,
Ob1

Hi Ob1, welcome to the Org! ~

Unfortunately save game corruption is a known issue. I'm not sure if there is any known solution to the problem.

You could try uploading the file with this tool:

http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/Uploaders/RTWFinal.php

and then post the link to it. Perhaps someone might be able to help you out.

Thanks therother,
but by the sound of it I shouldn't get my hopes up.
Here is the link:

If anybody is able to load the game, finish the turn and save it again I would be a happier man...
Cheers,
