You might not want to get the team addicted on M&B; that could set the open beta back for weeks
There's already a thread about this in the Arena.

I second The_Mark's comment !
I know first hand how addictive M & B can be , but it is very fun.
And the thread in the Arena has more than 5K views , so it was really popular a while back

Maybe a historical mod for M&B made up of EB team members?
AFTER EB is finished!

I have barely resisted the urge to buy the key for over a month now, while playing it once in a while to the 6th level straight

Wow. This looks... heavy. (for lack of a better word) :wideeyed:
I tried to buy it, but it didn't work out for some reason or another. I don't trust Paypal anyway...

I have just played this game for 9 hours straight- it is incredible. Such a simple design- make money, hire soldiers, kill people- yet it is incredibly absorbing. I don't know if I will even play Total War anymore. (Well, actually I probably will, in a couple weeks.)

What is this game? (And why is it here instead of the Arnea? ~ ~;) )
But really, what is it, I don't get it? Do I buy it at the store or is it online?

I downloaded the demo yesterday after reading this thread. I got to level 6, then when the game ended I whipped out my credit card and bought the full version. I've been playing more or less all the time since then.
And I have no regrets ~D

It is a medeival-based game- no magic, just straight up-and-down alternate history. Check the website- it is online only. At this point, it is a little simplistic, but then again, it is not really finished.

Here's a link to the 9 page thread in the arena:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=48444&page=1&pp=30
Lots of description and talk about it there. Feel free to post there if you have anything to say about it. Don't mind the somewhat-out of dateness of it.

I had lots of fun with it for a few weeks. Then I got rather bored. The game needs to be fleshed out more, but it has fantastic potential.
I did make a realism mod (or, more precisely, a my-view-of-reality mod), which can be found here (http://forums.taleworlds.net/viewtopic.php?t=2205). Be sure to look over the first post to see what's changed and get the installation instructions (or check out the readme, same deal).

I agree with Sim, it was fun for a bit, then it got boring. There is only so many times I can play until I get to level 6, then have to start all over again...

Do you have a credit card? Or even a PayPal account? If so, I suggest purchasing it. $12 isn't a lot considering that there are many $30 games that are not nearly as good...

Sigh...Scottish blood in the family then is it?
If ya can't find the $$$ for the full version, you deserve the endless lvl 6 loop! ~D

I don't have a credit card, and I'm not about to spend 12 bucks on it, at least until I get a job. ~;)

Get a pack horse, a point in inventory management, take Marnid with you if you don't have points in trade, go to salt mine, load up with salt, sell in a nearby town to get some profit or take the load to Zendar for a bigger profit. Being a merchant pays off, you don't even get XP by selling stuff

@ dago, I followed the link in this thread and I have to say thank you. Best $12 I ever spent. I rarely browse the Arena but I check the EB thread daily. I probably never would have found this otherwise.
I agree, totally worth the money, I've found it because of this thread and I'm totally addicted, imagine if you could "zoom in" a RTW battle and "possess" one of your soldiers or the general to fight the dirty battle yourself on a massive RTW scale, ahh, must have the computing power, in 100 years maybe? :charge:

We already have a few Rome: Total War -inspired geniuses at the M&B forums making totally unrealistic Roman Era mods. We need someone with actual skills and knowledge over there pronto to seize the crowd's attention before the zany mods become overly popular, otherwise it might not succeed at all. I'd do it myself but I lack modding skills and I'm not exactly an expert in Roman history either, but I can definitely tell when someone's doing it wrong. And I mean horribly, horribly wrong. :wall:
Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!
Bump for new version.

Well, not for a few weeks at least, quite likely even longer. Consider it like EB. Only more "I'll do it when I feel like spending a day or two on the project" than "We're working tirelessly to make the mod presentable for public consumption".
Version 701 is out! Check the official forum for download.
