Through out the Bush administration's decessions for appointments we can see one one (and only one) determination for selection. Not one of most capable or most able, but whether Bush43 owed them anything or whether they could be quiet about Bush43's real motives and f'ups.

Not that this is surprising in politics, it is the norm. But, normally the president makes a lame attempt at putting a person a possition they atleast comprehend.

In Michael Browns case it was one of not caring, of not seeing the importance of the possition of FEMA as being a real job. Obviously, someone else reommended Mike for this post (probably Cheney), but it was the man in power that allowed it, and them said he was doing just a wonderful job - 10 days after the fact.

Now we go into the spin game. A thing Republicans use to love to accuse Clinton of, but infact created during the Reagan administration - or, I should say perfected (since it had always been done to some extent). Still, Roves is the acknowledged master.

Now, first off, PJ will accuse me (anyone that exposes the truth about Bush) as creating a Bush43 bashing site. Untrue.

Paybacks in politics has been a common way of saying thank you for supporting me since Washington. And, a number of them have proven to be either inept or corrupt. But, until Michael Brown, none have proven to be dangerous enough in their ineptness to require an investigation.
That the President that appointed him still persists that he did a good job? Maybe we need to investigate him as well.
