As this relates to modding, this should probably be moved over to the Modding - General forum.

The domain name is up for sale as part of the transition from the old RTR mod leader Tyr, who recently stood down in favour of Caius Britannicus.

RTR fans, please be reassured, it is just that domain name that has been put up for sale, the RTR team remains as healthy as it ever was and is working hard to make a better tomorrow!

They will doubtless return shortly either from their old address or from a new one.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, twcenter.net is blocked. Is it possible to re-post the relevant information here?

Thanks in advance.

Okay now I understand why I could "see" the site (and still can actually).

And the TWC dramatics continue :dizzy2:

To be fair to TWC, the 'dramatics' are internal to RTR. Due to the historical association between TWC and RTR, info regarding the situation was posted there first.

RTR work continues and the site/forums should be up and running in their new home soon.

Cheers,

Rob.

Good to see they're back!

Look at the description btw of the .com site

rometotalrealism.com is the previous home of the modification of the same name. Rome: Total Realism was the most downloaded and most popular Rome: Total War modification up until September, 2005 - recieving at least 200,000 downloads. The mod was featured in several professional publications including Comptuer Gaming World and PC Gamer - as well as dozens more. The page itself was a community portal which recieved upwards of 20,000 unique visitors a day at it's peak and still manages to gross 5-10,000 unique visitors a day with upwards of one million hits. This .com is an ideal purchase for any entity looking to attract members of the gaming community, especially strategy game enthusiasts.

I am flexible - if you're interested, let's talk.

NOTE: Unique Visitors per month as of 10:00 AM EASTERN TIME September 12th, 2005.

Some raw statistics from our server in the month of August are:
~570,000 hits on the www
~1,100,000 hits on the forums
~7,800 members registered on the forum

Looks like Tyr is trying to raise a retirement fund :deal2:

So , what about 6.1 ?

So , what about 6.1 ?

Currently under development and heavy testing. Last unofficial prediction was about a week, but this is fluid.

NO OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE WILL BE PUBLISHED IN ADVANCE. Too many people carve it in stone and tempers fray if the product slips. It will be done when it is done.

Cheers,

Rob
