View Full Version : Database down
Hello,
The database server was down for some time and that may have damaged a thing or two. Big_John told me about a problem with the Frontroom: it could no longer be used at all.
The Frontroom seems to be back again, the fix should heal any part that has gone bad, but let me know if you spot something weird.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Was this why the .Org was so slow yesterday, or was that because my intarweb connection decided to crap out again?

Ok, spotted something.
The .org keeps switching between:

It's rquite annoying because it means threads get new post indicators when I've already read them...
And it also means that new threads don't show up. This happens when I click into/out of a forum/thread.

And the Frontroom is giving me week-old threads:
Welcome, Craterus.

I use XP (I'm not sure about specs etc.) and use IE.
But bothon the same machine and same account? It could be a cookie thing.

I've logged out and logged back in, and that should clear all cookies, right? Same machine though, yes.
Not quite Craterus. It tells your cookie that you're logged out and removes the encrypted password from the cookie. It does not delete the cookie.

Is there a fix? Somehow that I could get rid of the problem.
In C:\Documents and Settings\Your XP account \Cookies find Your XP account @totalwar.txt (there can be some [number] and delete those.
