Woman hides stolen mobile phone up Gary Glitter! (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/09/13/stolen_mobile_extraction/)

~

I know you mods will grumble - but it's a genuine story.

An unlubed mobile would take some shoving!

Society is to blame for putting her in a position where she needed to steal. If mobile phones were freely provided to all then a crime such as this would not happen.

You'd REALLY have to want that phone, wouldn't you?

I'm having some difficulty with how she got it there on a crowded bus without anyone noticing what was going on. God knows London Underground is pretty hellish at times, and Londoners are notorious for pretending not to notice things, but even here someone ramming a phone up their jacksie would attract some comment, I feel.

Should be mandatory life to death sentences for mobile phone theft! :charge:
Softy liberal policy to blame for some one to never feel comfortable with phone again. :furious3:

I’ll bet FOX is already in the works to buy the movie rights to this new crime drama. ~;)

Side note @ kagemusha: I found a political angle, she must have been liberal, because no “tight ass” conservative could um… fit … well, you know. ~D

EDIT by Ser Clegane: I think that one goes a bit too far...

EDIT II by Louis IV: Which means all of you will just have to wonder in perennial curiousity what that link linked to... ~;)

Well, I don't find it that funny. These people are just stupid/hopeless. This is a common way to hide stolen stuffs for romanian gipsies.

You don't find someone stuffing a mobile phone up their bottom, and the police detecting it by ringing the number, funny?

I find it hilarious, but then, I am British.

Great, now I have a vision in my head of Mr. Bean with a ringing phone in his “back pocket”.

What a great article. Would vibrate really have been so bad, though? You normally have to buy things to do that for you.

Hey, don't apologise- we haven't apologised for Mad TV or Jerry Lewis yet.

And speaking of which... Any Chinese people here? If so, I apologise for Mulan.

...And unlike Carlsberg, we don't hate to see it leave.

Couldn't she have put it on silent mode? Most phones have them, and it would have spared her the empassioned shrieking that vibrate probably would have produced.

Yeah well, the fact they found the phone by ringing the number *is* funny. But the fact some people have to hide a cellular phone in their bottom/vagina is quite disappointing.
