Lazul that peices wasn't too bad, save the pass outs to the propagandic ones. ~;)
If North Korea actually keeps this promise, it's good news.
Love the thread title lol!
Don't believe NK for a moment though.

North Korea agreed Monday to dismantle nuclear weapons and its atomic facilities in exchange for energy aid, economic cooperation and security assurancesSo they managed to blackmail everybody again after all. :furious3:
Oh well, we're pretty short on alternatives. So assuming they're serious, it's good news.
Oh well, we're pretty short on alternatives. So assuming they're serious, it's good news.Of course they're serious- they've agreed to allow UN inspectors in. ~:handball:

North Korea lied before, they're lying this time. The best solution would be to simply "damn the torpedoes" and plaster them, if a good excuse could be thought of for the S Koreans who would die.
But realistically, NK has nukes and will have them from here on out. Even if them "get rid" of them, they'll never be more than a month away from full assembly-line production.
DA
I suspect they agreed on the basis that America would nuke them before being nuked herself. But North Korea wins again as they get exactly what they want in return for doing nothing.

It seems there's a problem already:

But no wonder with such wooly worded agreements:
Link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/4259176.stm)
The DPRK stated that it has the right to peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
The other parties expressed their respect and agreed to discuss at an appropriate time the subject of the provision of light-water reactor to the DPRK.
NK are like the Knights who say "NI!". ~:)
Soon they will be wanting more shrubbery and the cutting of trees with fish. :charge:
Also I will say that NK leadership is no nicer than Saddam, and people there starving to death and they boasting of WMD. So give them nice things they want. ~
This is not lacking consequence, it is learning from mistake of Iraq and trying other thing. Mistake of Iraq not admitted however. :dizzy2:
