Hi

I followed his guide and i understood it well. But when i change ownership for a settlement. The d*** game crash to desktop without any warning even with show_err turned on. I hate this game and myself. My mods never gets finished because some unexplainable error happens. And i have to reinstall , use tones of backups. My taskbar is filled with notepads, datafolders, 50 IE pages about how to do this and that to the game. :furious3: But nothing works!.

Ok lets get into detail. I open Descr_strat and i toggle down to armenia(i want to give parthia 1 of armenias settlements) And i cut from "settlement" to after the "}"

so

settlement
bla bla
}

highlighted. And i go to parthias last line of settlements and paste it there.
I dont do the character thing because i dont know which "character" to use anyway and it causes ctd when i copy something else. But the guide said it will run whitout garrison.I also deleted the old armenian garrison and general

ok lets start up the game "again!"

i select imperial campaign and armenia. Game starts yes! do a few turns and the game goes to my 50 million notepads on the desktop without warning.

Please help me. Forgive my angry mood its allways like this when i start to mod my game. ex

i learn
i work my mod
im happy
nothing works

It might be better if you posted the actual code excerpt ;)

We might be able to see what you've done wrong then.

It turned out that the hole game crashed when i set a characters age from 60 to 46 years old.

now i must start the game everytime i make i change. im the worst modder, but i got good ideas nevertheless.

But dont close the thread just yet, when im getting forward in my projects. The problems drag me back to square 1 again(the reinstall) :)

tnx for the reply: dol guldur

We've all been there, City.

In fact, I submit that most if not all of us are often there still ;)
