Is there any chance we could have a new sub forum for BI? It would make things much easier when trying to locate BI specific information

I believe there would be sufficient support for it.

A bit hasty moving this before we had chance to see how many want a new sub forum. Meanwhile BI threads continue in the Colosseum, which does not feel quite appropriate

Hello Orda,

Not hasty moved at all, this is the forum for such things. People can still post here.

STW and WE, MTW and VI shared the same forum too. Why would BI need a new forum?

Simple answer Tosa. For the same reason that 'Hosted Mods' has 13 sub forums. To make it easier to find and discuss threads relating to the subject

Well, it could go under the RTW main forum.

I dunno. Maybe its just me, but BI seems to be more different from RTW than VI was from MTW...

I'd say keep BI with RTW. I prefer a few active forums than lots of specialised quiet ones. You need a critical mass of posters to get decent interactions. The Colosseum and to be honest most of the main Org game forum have been rather quiet for a while because there's no new product. BI will be a good shot in the arm for it. Plus, I don't think it is so different from RTW. If you read Kraxis's first impressions of BI, for example, a lot of the information is about how the expansion is patching the vanilla game, changing the balance of units etc.

Personally, I'd go further and keep player discussion of mods in the main game forums, rather than shunt them away to sub-forums. Given the well aired limitations of RTW, I suspect the future of the game here is in mods such as RTR and EB. I certainly lost interest pretty quickly until I discovered RTR and now my every other post in the Colosseum is "Have you tried RTR? It does what you want RTW to do?". I also think some fine mods like MedMod have suffered a little by being placed in a ghetto away from the mainstream. I'd keep the mod forums for modders and the technical stuff, but let the players discuss gameplay and other general issues about all variants of the TW games in the main STW/MTW/RTW forums.

Yes I agree with Simon. Its not like our forums are getting flooded with topics anyway so IMO its better to stay within a few.

As the "average joe" member of this forum, I am in favor of keeping just one forum for RTW and BI.

After all these are the same game (BI coming with v1.3 of RTW) and a lot of discussion (on gameplay but alson on modding) would be common.

Besides, I find that the TWC organisation with multiple fora (1 for RTW, 1 for BI, 1 for modding RTW, 1 for modding BI) to be a pain in the neck: information is split and discussion are less rich.

In conclusion, it is not like we have been flooded with new threads and splitting the fora could bring us just 2 "deads" fora instead of 1 "living".

I also advocate the single forum idea. It has worked well for STW and MTW; why fix something that's not broken?
