By getting herself arrested.

You should see the video of how pleased she is with herself when the cops carry her away- grinning ear to ear.

5 will get ya 10 that her PR group thought this up as yet another way to provide the MSM an excuse to do more stories on her.

I think this is going just a wee bit far in using her son's good name to push her agenda.

EDIT: I like your sig. ~

You're slipping, CR. It's not the "MSM," it's the "LMSM."

I'm disappointed in you son. Try paying a little more attention to detail in the future.

LMSM is redundant.

For a grieving mother, she sure looks like she's enjoying her fame. Must be the weed....

I would have thought that after the march at the weekend that she should have had enough headlines to fill the front pages anyhow .
The numbers certainly dwarfed the counter demonstration on Saturday and the support the war demonstration Sunday .

Xiahou

That's probably why she got arrested today. Their protests didn't get enough coverage over the weekend. No one cared about their bus tour, few cared about the protests... maybe getting arrested will work.

Well she was pretty disappointed by the lack of headlines about her march I'm sure. ~D
I've seen women get jealous of other women, but never over storms named after women!!! LOL

I thought I might never replace that fine quote of Pindar's I had sigged, as it contained his eloquence and intelligence in a simple paragraph. But that cindy thread at the kos has done it. Consider cindy sig'd.

However, I don't think they should spend the extra time on something as un-newsworthy as herself.

Don't let her hear you say that or you'll have every hippy in Oregon camped on your yard!!! ~D

That must be another example of the liberal media bias that some people are always on about then . ~D ~D ~D

Don't worry , Hurricane Cindy will probably be along before the mess in Iraq is sorted out .

Well talk about self inflicted head wounds - she done a lot of damage to herself and her message with her arrest and her silly statement on the blog.

Bill O'Reilly vs. Phil Donahue re: the Sheehan
Hah! I actually saw a replay of that earlier. I think it could be best summed up as: "Dumb and Dumber". Funny stuff though... I can't believe O'Reilly still can't counter the "would you send your own child to Iraq?" fallacy.

they're both tools, but Donahue has been doing this a lot longer than O'Reilly. I suspect it will be a long time before Bill's ego is collected enough again for him to book another "pro"

I'm just amazed that they could fit both of them in the same room along with their egos and enormous heads... ~D

I've only read the transcript, but it appeared to me that Phil whiped the floor with Bill's bluster. It's pretty funny when Bill threatens to kick him out of the studio. I haven't seen Donahue in years and had forgotten his signature style. I'm not a fan of either of them.

Sheehan, no surprise, she's an odd character. It has been the over reaction to her protesting that has made her news worthy in the eyes of some.

Why does everyone on the left like her so dam much? She is an anti-semitic bigot, and an ignoramous. She blames American Jews for launching the war, and claims that Israel is the driving force that caused it and is controlling the White House.

If she were to watch the Saddam Hussein Trial she would realise just what is going on.

Perhaps she would have been ok with allowing Hitler to rule Germany after World War Two, since she seems to support putting Saddam Hussein back in power, after he did exactly the same thing to Kurds that Hitler did to Jews.

Oh look at the kitty....

I think the left likes her (well, I guess some people do, none of my lefty friends like her at all) because she is a mascot. Just the village idiot (standard voting block of the Democrats right?) screaming that Bush is evil (wasn't that the Kerry and who-cares motto last year?). What else could you ask for? She was very sympathetic character, a bereaved mother. Now well... I am sure you can find the previous thread on her to get the usual descriptors for her.

Do they ?
Some people of regardless their politcal persuation oppose the war .
Therefore some people agree with anyone who opposes the war .

They are idiots
Whareas only an idiot would support a badly planned war and disasterously planned post war situaution .
And certainly only an idiot would have started it in the first place in the manner in which it was done .

Hmm, now she's calling John McCain "A warmonger". (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-09-28-sheehan-mccain_x.htm)

Soon enough, this is gonna fizzle out, just like that big Rove-hunting frenzy a couple months ago.

In other Cindy news, she has hired herself out on the public speaking circuit because, as she put it, "she cannot support herself on her son's insurance money much longer" (courtesy of Neal Bortz). She also turned around and walked out of her first 'for pay' speaking gig at the University of Maryland, after 10 minutes. Point is, she's a fruitbat. Even Moore's gotta be thinking to himself she's crazy as an outhouse rat. He's gonna come home to find a bunny boiling in his kitchen one of these days.

In other Cindy news (..)You guys were right, she's nuts. I tried to be a gentleman about it in earlier exchanges because of her loss, but she seems to be lost herself these days...
He's gonna come home to find a bunny boiling in his kitchen one of these days.Heh, never saw that expression before, Don - what does it mean exactly?

It's from Fatal Attraction. When Michael Douglas strikes up an extra-marital affair w/ Glen Close, it's all well & good, harmless fun. But when he decides to call it off with her, things go downhill.... FAST. At one point, she kidnaps his daughter and leaves the family pet (a rabbit) boiling away on the stove.

Side note, sort of: Michael Moore charges $40,000 for a speaking appearance. I wonder what she is going to charge? I would pay her to leave me alone.

There's this, from USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-09-28-sheehan-mccain_x.htm) . According to it, she got her meeting with McCain under false pretenses. They said they had several constituents of his with them who wanted to talk to him. As it turns out, only one of the individuals had ever lived in Arizona and no longer does. This article mentions her leaving the UMaryland gig, but not about what she's getting for speeches...

Only thing I could find was from CNSNews. They're pretty partisan, so take it with a grain of salt, but they estimate she's making $30K an appearance.
