As the title says. ~:)
I'm playing as the Scipii and have conquered Carthage so I have the elephant resource in at least one of my provinces. How do I mod the game so I can recruit elephants?

You would have to mod the elephant units so they were part of the Roman factions recruitable units.

Then, you make sure there is a building that lists them as recruitable for the Julii faction, and then you recruit them!

It's a bit fiddly to do, but not that hard overall.

Thank you. Which files do I need to modify?
I'm not very skilled when it comes to modding to say the least, so I need a little more info. ~:)

Just hire them as mercenaries. Seems like that would be easier...

LOL. You're probably right, but I have to start somewhere.
I just found this (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=23939) guide and I'll try that out. Seems easy enough. :dizzy2:

Oh, you're trying to get into the modding? Oh, okay, then just throw what I said by the waste side. ~;)

Now that's sound advice. ~D

I'm thinking of making a mod myself, but I have no good ideas yet. It would probably be very time consuming as well...

I imagine so. So far I don't have that many aspirations myself, I'm just fiddling a bit, but you never know. It seems like fun.
